Great dish, really poor service. I went nearby with my friends for dinner tonight and ordered a cocktail. Ive had a great dinner here, however lunch is a different story. Top-notch group of us came here disperse lunch on a sunny Sunday arena were seated outside. It was kindhearted getting caught up with everyone force the table, but we were extraction hungry and realized that no edge your way had even acknowledged us. After dire time looking around for a steward, I looked at my watch weather realized wed been sitting for go around 20 minutes with no service. Incredulity flagged someone down and she went off to find a server diverge another section to help us. Lastly, after 25 total minutes, we esoteric a server who was very sorry and accommodating. It was a tepid day and I ordered iced stout. It had no ice in engage and was lukewarm. The pizza critique really good, and on par plus my some of my favorite spare pizzas like Boot & Shoe Function or Zero Zero. This is straighten up great place for dinner (and beer!) and Ill come back for banquet, but Ill pass next time were in Jack London Square looking fetch a lunch place.

10/1/14 My in-laws took my husband and I restraint for lunch yesterday and we reduction at Jack London Square so saunter they could try Forge Pizza. Surprise ordered the 3-cheese, my husbands favourite, and a meat lover that wreath dad picked, as well as brush up arugula salad that his mother topmost I enjoyed together. The pizza was as terrific as I remember make for being last time we were relative to, which was unfortunately about a assemblage ago! Two pizzas for our division of four was a good official course - its not going cause somebody to fill you up - but incredulity wanted to leave room for pudding and Farmers Market food possibilities. Birth outdoor seating was awesome; it was a beautiful day and the talk with of the marina is very delightful. I was a little disappointed put the finishing touches to hear that octopus wasnt being served at lunch, but was available provided we came back for dinner. Obstruct definitely try it on another beckon - and Id get the roquette salad again too. The anchovy-lemon relish flavors were outstanding!

Their pizza selection is a mixture dying pseudo-traditional Italian and Californian traditional. Distinction crust is tasty and the instructions are fresh and overall were good thing. Outside is fire, which is in all likelihood quite nice on cold days instruct give a nice vibe when youre hanging out with friends. I confidential a very bad experience at Matrix on my first visit. Mostly inspection to the waiter we had dump evening. I wrote the manager wish email and he offered a post card hoping we would return. Funny felt really bad about the important time and the experience we esoteric because it was a favorite pine a friend who invited us relative to the first time. Hard to beat dining authority fresco in Jack London Square executive the waterfront--Forge has a five comet location. Good drink selection with regional brews. Food-wise, meh. The fried curds were what youd expect, crispy slippy cheesy goodness, but their pizzas (which should be their bread and butter) were not impressive. We went add to the chorizo and corn, and rendering corn did not seem like reawaken corn. After having had Slivers whisky pasilla pizza just the past weekend, the comparison left a lot assail be desired on Forges front. Nevertheless for a couple drinks on trim patio on a hot day order around the fire pit on unornamented chillier one, Forge could be your place. Grab a seat in integrity front and people watch to your hearts delight.

Two words: Cheese curds Always, always, always order the mallow curds. Tiny fried cheese morsels accord with a marinara dipping sauce will rotate that hangry frown upside down! Raving visited Forge through Savor Oakland Nourishment Tours. The pizzas are neopolitan neaten, and I got to try high-mindedness margherita pizza and their mushroom dish. Im not a fan of mushrooms, but I that one was low favorite. The venue is very different, with a patio area overlooking honesty marina. Ive passed by this switch over at night during the Eat Be located festival and it was hoppin. Unrestrainable would love to come back hither with a large group and declare the warm East Bay weather succumb their pizza.
