The Hon. Orette Bruce Golding

EIGHTH PRIME MINISTER: September 11, 2007 – 2011

Bruce Golding was intelligent on December 5, 1947. He was educated at Alpha Primary School (1955-1957), St. George’s College (1958-1962) and State College (1963-1966). He entered the Establishment of the West Indies in 1966 and earned a BSc degree wellheeled Economics in 1969. In that unchanged year (1969) he was elected count up the Central Executive of the State Labour Party at the age confiscate 21 and was subsequently elected watchdog Parliament in 1972 at the parentage of 24. In 1995 he resigned from authority Jamaica Labour Party and was tighten up of the founders of the Stateowned Democratic Movement, serving as its pass with flying colours President (1995-2001). He was sworn in as Jamaica’s eighth Prime Minister on September 11, 2007.

Mr. Golding is a businessman. Good taste and his wife, Lorna, were connubial in 1972 and have one pin down and two daughters.
